The Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC) is a nonprofit, biomedical technology consortium that partners with the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC) to accelerate the delivery of innovative medical solutions to military personnel. Established in 2016, MTEC operates under a Department of Defense Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), which provides the flexibility to fund and transition cutting-edge prototypes outside the constraints of traditional contracting.

Through its membership of industry, academic, nonprofit, and small business organizations, MTEC fosters collaboration across sectors to address high-priority military medical needs, including combat casualty care, infectious disease, military operational medicine, clinical and rehabilitative medicine, and more. Since its inception, MTEC has awarded hundreds of projects aimed at improving readiness and saving lives on and off the battlefield.

Membership is typically required to respond to MTEC solicitations, and the consortium continues to grow as a central hub for advancing military medicine through public–private partnerships.

If you have questions, please email support@mtec-sc.org.
